The Shimmering Light - Chapter 2

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهْ
نَبَّأَنَا اللّٰهُ فَقَالَ جَاءَكُمْ
نُورٌ فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَنْبَانَا
وَالنُّورُ طَهَ عَبْدُهُ مَنَّ بِهِ
فِي ذِكْرِهِ أَعْظِمْ بِهِ مَنَّانَا
هُوَ رَحْمَةُ الْمَوْلَى تَأَمَّلْ قَوْلَهُ
فَلْيَفْرَحُوا وَاغْدُ بِهِ فَرْحَانَا
مُسْتَمْسِكًا بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ
وَمُعْتَصِمًا بِحَبْلِ اللّٰهِ مَنْ أَنْشَانَا
وَاسْتَشْعِرَنْ أَنْوَارَ مَنْ قِيلَ مَتَى
كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا قَالَ آدَمُ كَانَا
بَيْنَ التُّرَابِ وَبَيْنَ مَاءٍ فَاسْتَفِقْ
مِنْ غَفْلَةٍ عَنْ ذَا وَكُنْ يَقْظَانَا
وَاعْبُرْ إِلَى أَسْرَارِ رَبِّي لَمْ يَزَلْ
يَنْقُلُنِي بَيْنَ الْخِيَارِ مُصَانَا
لَمْ تَفْتَرِقْ مِنْ شُعْبَتَيْنِ إِلَّا أَنَا
فِي خَيْرِهَا حَتَّى بُرُوزِيَ آنَا
فَأَنَا خِيَارٌ مِنْ خِيَارٍ قَدْ خَرَجْتُ
مِنْ نِكَاحٍ لِي إِلٰهِيَ صَانَا
طَهَّرَهُ اللّٰهُ حَمَاهُ اخْتَارَهُ
وَمَا بَرَا كَمِثْلِهِ إِنْسَانَا
وَبِحُبِّهِ وَبِذِكْرِهِ وَالنَّصْرِ وَالتَّــ
ــوْقِيرِ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ قَدْ أَوْصَانَا
يَا رَبَّنَا صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا
عَلٰى حَبِيبِكَ مَنْ إِلَيْكَ دَعَانَا
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آلِهْ

Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim wa bārik ʿalayhi wa ʿalā ālih
Nabba-anal-lāhu fa qāla jā-akum
Nūrun Fa subḥānal-ladhī ambānā
Wan-nūru Ṭāhā ʿabduhu manna bihi
Fī dhikrihi aʿ-ẓim bihi man-nānā
Huwa raḥmatul mawlā ta-ammal qawlahu
Fal-yafraḥū Wagh-du bihi farḥānā
Mustam-sikam bil-ʿurwatil wuthqā
Wa muʿtaṣimam biḥablil-lāhi man-anshānā
Was-tash-ʿiran anwāra man qīla: matā
kunta nabiy-yan? Qāla Ādamu kānā
Baynat-turābi wa bayna mā-in fastafiq
Min ghaflatin ʿan dhā wakun yaqẓānā
Waʿbur ilā asrāri Rabbī lam yazal
Yanqulunī baynal khiyāri muṣānā
Lam taftariq min shuʿ-batayni illā anā
Fī khayrihā ḥattā burūziya ānā
Fa ana khiyārum min khiyārin qad kharajthu
Min nikāḥin lī Ilāhiya ṣānā
Ṭahhara hulāhu ḥamāhukh-tārahu
Wa mā barā kamithlihi insānā
Wa biḥub-bihi wa bidhikrihi wan-naṣri wat
Towqīri Rabbul ʿarshi qad owṣānā
Yā Rabbanā ṣalli wa sallim dā-iman
ʿalā ḥabībika man ilayka daʿānā
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim wa bārik ʿalayhi wa ʿalā ālih

O Allāh, send your mercy, peace and blessings upon him and his family
Allah has announced to us, saying:
'Indeed, a light has come to you..' So Glory be to The One who informed us!
And the light is Ṭaha – His slave, bestowed by Him
As mentioned in His Reminder. How magnificent is He as a Bestower of Gifts!
He is the mercy of our Master. Reflect upon His words:
‘Rejoice’ and set out on your journey with happiness.
While taking hold of the firmest handhold,
And clinging to the rope of Allāh, who originated us.
Experience the lights of the one who, when asked:
‘When were you a prophet?’ replied, ‘When Ādam was
… Between earth and water!’
So awaken from your heedlessness concerning this and become enlightened.
Pay heed to the secrets within the Prophet’s words
‘My Lord always placed me in the most esteemed of lineages...
...For never did a lineage branch in two except that
I was in the nobler line, until the time came for my emergence...
...For I am the Elect of the Elect, I have come into existence
Through pure unions only, my God has guarded this for me.’
Allāh has purified him, preserved him, chosen him,
Never has any human being been created like him!
To love him, to mention him, to give him victory and to respect him,
Thus we are commanded by the Lord of the Great Throne.
Our Lord! Send Your Mercy and Peace perpetually
upon Your Beloved, the one who called us to You.
O Allāh, send your mercy, peace and blessings upon him and his family
