al-Salatu ala al-mudhalal

English translation
Blessings be upon the One whom the clouds once shaded
the finest of God’s creation who ennobled Ramah’s land.
O radiant full moons, through whom the universe blazed with light
after its regions were in darkness.
Let the dawn-wind bear the perfume of your presence
before it drifts with nothing but wormwood and wild lavender.
And send to me, in slumber, a glimpse of your form
if ever my eyes are granted leave to sleep.
