Lammā saqānī sāqī al-qawm

English translation
When the cupbearer of the people gave me to drink,
From his wine, my breaths became sweet.
And our cupbearer is the protector of Gilani,
So we have no need to worry.
O falcon, O Abdul Qadir,
O vast sea
Come to our aid, O Sultan,
From the hardship of these difficult times.
The cup is a shining light,
From the hand of the Sheikh of men.
And our Sheikh is the pinnacle of leaders,
And the one who leads to greatness.
In his praise, the singer cried out,
And whoever blames me, let them blame.
Even if they prolong their reproach,
For his praise has become my art.
