English translation
O Light of the Eye
O Taha, the Radiant One
Intercede for me tomorrow before Allah
For I fear the Fire.
You are the Beloved,
You are the Sought One,
You are the one near to Allah,
O Beloved of the Most Merciful.
O Spirit of the spirit,
Heal the wounded heart.
Who, in Your beauty, O my Master,
Remains ever lost and wakeful?
O Father of Zahra, Crown of the Presence,
Reach us, O Taha, with but a glance,
For the worlds have become constricted upon us.
May God send blessings upon the tender-hearted, devout supplicant
Muhammad, son of ‘Abdullāh.
O Beloved of the Most Merciful.
