Qari wa sarri

قَرِّي وانْسَرِّي يَا عَيْن
بِمَدْحِ جَدِّ الْحَسَنَيْن
نُورُهُ شَمْسُ الكَوْنَيْن
لِلشَّرْقِ وَالْمَغْرِبَيْن
يَا صَاحِبَ الْإِسْرَاءِ
فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْغَرَّاءِ
أَدْهَشْتَ عَيْنَ الرَّائِي
بِالتَّاجِ وَالْحُلَّتَيْن
عَلَى مِعْرَاجِ الحِبِّ
رَقَى حَبِيْبُ الْقَلْبِ
مُخْتَرقًا لِلْحُجُبِ
مُنِيرًا الْوَجْهِ وَالْعَيْن
نُودِيَ أَهْلًا وَسَهْلًا
وَهْوَ بِالْأُفْقِ الْأَعْلَى
ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْن

Qarrī wa-insarrī yā ʿayn
bi-madḥi jaddi Al-Ḥasanayn
Nūruhu shamsu Al-kawnayn
lish-sharqi wa-al-maghribayn
Yā ṣāḥiba Al-ʾisrāʾi
fī Al-laylati Al-gharrāʾi
ʾadhhashtu ʿayna Ar-rāʾī
bi-at-tāji wa-al-ḥullatayn
ʿalā miʿrāji Al-ḥubbi
raqā ḥabību Al-qalbi
mukhtariqan li-al-ḥujubi
munīran Al-wajhi wa-al-ʿayn
Nūdiya ʾahlan wa sahlan
wa-huwa bi-al-ʾufuqi Al-ʾaʿlā
thumma danā fa-tadallā
fa-kāna qāba qawsayn

Be at peace and rejoice, O eye,
By praising the grandfather of Hasan and Husayn.
His light is the sun of the two worlds,
For the East and the Wests.
O Master of the Night Journey,
In the glorious night,
You astonished the eye of the beholder,
With the crown and the two splendid robes.
Upon the Miraj (Ascension) of Love,
Ascended the Beloved of the heart,
Piercing through the veils,
his face and eyes radiating light
He was welcomed
While he was at the highest horizon.
Then he drew nigh and descended,
And was but two bow-lengths away.
