English translation

The Lord has sent His blessings and peace eternally,
Upon the Honored One.
As long as the caravan singer chants and sings,
Amidst the darkness of the night.
By the mention of Taha, the Chosen, anxiety is dispelled,
And comforting joy settles within.
His remembrance is a balm for the hearts' disease,
A cure that purges poison.
Send blessings upon him! For verily it is a treasure,
That rescues the soul from sorrow.
Upon him, my Lord, in the ancient Qur’an,
Has sent blessings and peace.
His praise and remembrance are recited in the Book;
Upon him, He has prayed.
In the Message, his rank is the most exalted,
How sweet is his clear manifestation!
Time wears away, but the one who describes him never tires,
Far from it—wait and see!
By Allah, none has truly expressed his heights,
No, nor even caught a scent.
O my Delight! O Healer of every wound!
O Light of the spirits!
O you who are the key to the doors of success,
O Essence of all gain.
O you whose mention brings us happiness and cheer,
And drives away our care.
Union with you is my Paradise; estrangement is Hellfire,
And you know this well.
I have a soul that comes to life at the mention of Taha,
This is its only cure.
The highest of creation in station and prestige,
He cannot be rivaled.
A servant of whom the angels of heaven boast,
Far be it that he be equaled.
It is impossible for a mouth to count his virtues,
For the matter is far greater.
I beseech You by Taha, the Best of the Chosen,
O Best of Creators!
Hear my plea, accept my apology,
And lift me from my falls.
Truly, because of Your forbearance despite my shameful sin,
My audacity has grown.
For it is Your custom, toward those who sin and stray,
To forgive and show mercy.
Far be it from You to deny one who intercedes through him,
Or to withhold Your grace.
We come to You hoping for acceptance, humbled,
And Your generosity is most vast.
It flows over all creation in every variety,
Throughout the whole cosmos.
Within it, both the Arabs and non-Arabs have lived,
And Allah knows best.
