Abyāt mashhūrah min al-Burda

مَوْلَايَ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا أَبَدًا
عَلَى حَبِيبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ
بُشْرَى لَنَا مَعْشَرَ الْإِسْلَامِ إِنَّ لَنَا
مِنَ الْعِنَايَةِ رُكْنًا غَيْرَ مُنْهَدِمِ
لَمَّا دَعَا اللَّهُ دَاعِينَا لِطَاعَتِهِ
بِأَكْرَمِ الرُّسُلِ كُنَّا أَكْرَمَ الْأُمَمِ
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ
وَعَلَى سَادَتِنَا آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ الْكِرَمِ
مُحَمَّدٌ سَيِّدُ الْكَوْنَيْنِ وَالثَّقَلَيْنِ
وَالْفَرِيقَيْنِ مِنْ عُرْبٍ وَمِنْ عَجَمِ
هُوَ الْحَبِيبُ الَّذِي تُرْجَى شَفَاعَتُهُ
لِكُلِّ هَوْلٍ مِنَ الْأَهْوَالِ مُقْتَحَمِ
وَمَنْ تَكُنْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ نُصْرَتُهُ
إِنْ تَلْقَهُ الْأُسْدُ فِي آجَامِهَا تَجِمِ
مَنْ يَعْتَصِمْ بِكَ يَا خَيْرَ الْوَرَى شَرَفًا
فَاللَّهُ حَافِظُهُ مِنْ كُلِّ مُنْتَقِمِ
ثُمَّ الرِّضَا عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعَنْ عُمَرَ
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ ذِي الْكَرَمِ
يَا رَبِّ بِالْمُصْطَفَى بَلِّغْ مَقَاصِدَنَا
وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا مَا مَضَى يَا وَاسِعَ الْكَرَمِ
فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا نَاظِمَهَا وَاغْفِرْ لِقَارِئِهَا
سَأَلْتُكَ الْخَيْرَ يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ

Mawlāya ṣalli wa sallim dāʾiman abadan
ʿalā ḥabībika khayri l-khalqi kullihimi
Bushrā lanā maʿshara l-Islāmi inna lanā
mina l-ʿināyati ruknan ghayra munhadimi
Lammā daʿā Allāhu dāʿīnā li-ṭāʿatihi
bi-akrami r-rusuli kunnā akrama l-umami
Yā Rabbi ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin
wa-ʿalā sādatinā ālihi wa ṣaḥbihi l-kirami
Muḥammadun sayyidu l-kawnayni wa-th-thaqalaynī
wa-l-farīqayni min ʿurbin wa-min ʿajami
Huwa l-ḥabību l-ladhī turjā shafāʿatuhu
li-kulli hawlin min al-ahwāli muqtaḥami
Wa-man takun bi-rasūli Allāhi nuṣratuhu
in talqahu l-usdu fī ājāmihā tajimi
Man yaʿtaṣim bika yā khayra l-warā sharafan
fa-Allāhu ḥāfiẓuhu min kulli muntaqimi
Thumma r-riḍā ʿan Abī Bakrin wa-ʿan ʿUmara
wa-ʿan ʿAlīyin wa-ʿan ʿUthmāna dhī l-karami
Yā Rabbi bi-l-Muṣṭafā balligh maqāṣidanā
wa-ghfir lanā mā maḍā yā wāsiʿa l-karami
Fa-ghfir lanā nāẓimahā wa-ghfir liqāriʾihā
saʾaltuka l-khayra yā dhā l-jūdi wa-l-karami

O my Lord, send prayers and peace always, forever,
upon Your beloved, the best of all creation.
Good tidings for us, O community of Islam, for we have
from Your care, a pillar that will not be demolished.
When God called our caller to His obedience,
with the noblest of messengers, we became the noblest of nations.
O Lord, send prayers upon Muḥammad
and upon our masters, his family and his noble companions.
Muḥammad is the master of the two worlds and the two species (Jinn and men),
and the two groups, from the Arabs and non-Arabs.
He is the beloved whose intercession is hoped for,
for every terror from among the terrors that are encountered.
And whoever has the support of the Messenger of God,
if the lions in their thickets meet him, they will be terrified.
Whoever holds fast to you, O best of creation, with honour,
God is his protector from every avenger.
Then satisfaction be upon Abu Bakr and upon ʿUmar,
and upon ʿAlī and upon ʿUthmān, the possessor of generosity.
O Lord, by the Chosen One, grant us our goals,
and forgive us what has passed, O Most Generous.
So forgive its composer and forgive its reader;
I have asked You for goodness, O Possessor of bounty and generosity.
