Da turuq al-ghayy

دَعْ طُرُقَ الغَيِّ فَالدُّنيا فَيّ
لا يَبْقَى إِلَّا القَيُّومُ الحَيّ
يَا وَيْحَ قَلْبِي مَا اسْتَتَابَ
مِمَّا جَنَتْهُ يَدُ الشَّبَاب
يَا خَجلَتِي يَوْمَ الْحِسَاب
مِنْ نَاقِدٍ يُحْصِي عَلَيّ
وَاللَّهِ مَا هَذَا الْوُجُود
إِلَّا مُشيرًا لِلْمَعْبُود
فَقُمْ وَنَادِ يَا وَدُود
يَا ظَاهِرًا فِي كُلِّ شَيْء
يَا آلَ بَيْتِ المُصْطَفَى
رِقُّوا فَهِجْرَانِي كَفَى
يَا سَادَاتِ هَذَا الْجَفَا
أَوْرَثَ قَلْبِيَ الْمُضْنَى كَي
بِاللَّهِ رِقُّوا وَارْحَمُوا
حَالِي فَإِنِّي مُغْرَمُ
تَعَطَّفُوا تَكَرَّمُوا
بِنَظْرَةٍ يَا أَهْلَ الحَيّ
صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يَا سَلَام
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مَاحِي الظَّلَام
وَالْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ الْكِرَام
مَا حَنَّ مُشْتَاقٌ لِمَيّ

Daʿ ṭuruq al-ghayy fa-al-dunyā fay
lā yabqā illā al-qayyūm al-ḥayy.
Yā wayḥa qalbī mā istatāba
mimmā janat-hu yadu al-shabāb.
Yā khajalatī yawma al-ḥisāb
min nāqid yuḥṣī ʿalay.
Wa-llāhi mā hādhā al-wujūd
illā mushīran lil-maʿbūd.
Fa-qum wa-nādi yā wadūd
yā ẓāhiran fī kulli shayʾ.
Yā āl bayt al-muṣṭafā
riqqū fa-hijrānī kafā.
Yā sādat hādhā al-jafā
awratha qalbī al-muḍnā kay.
Bi-llāhi riqqū wa-arḥamū
ḥālī fa-innī mughram.
Taʿaṭṭafū takarramū
bi-naẓrat yā ahl al-ḥayy.
Ṣalli wa-sallim yā salām
ʿalā al-nabī māḥī al-ẓalām.
Wa-al-āl wa-al-ṣaḥb al-kirām
mā ḥanna mushtāq limayy.

Abandon the path of misguidance, for the world is fleeting;
nothing remains other than The Self-Sustaining, The Ever-Living.
Oh, woe to my heart, it hasn't repented
for what the hands of youth have committed.
Oh, my shame on the Day of Reckoning
before an Auditor who will count all against me.
By God, this existence
is but a sign pointing to the One worthy of worship.
So rise and call, "O Loving One,
O the One manifest in all things."
O family of the Chosen One,
have mercy, for your abandonment is enough.
O masters, this estrangement
has left my ailing heart in agony.
By God, lift me up and have mercy,
for I am deeply in love.
Be compassionate, be generous,
with a glance, O people of the blessed dwelling.
Send blessings and peace, O Peaceful One,
upon the Prophet, the remover of darkness,
And upon his family and noble companions,
as long as a longing heart yearns for the beloved.
