Fī hawā khayri al-ʿibād

فِي هَوَىٰ خَيْرِ الْعِبَاد
شُغِفَ الْقَلْبُ وَهَامَ
فَهَنِيئًا لِفُؤَادِي
نَالَ مِنْ طٰهَ الْمَرَامَ
أَنَا فِي مَدْحِ مُحَمَّدْ
مُغْرَمٌ وَاللّٰهُ يَشْهَدْ
أَنَا فِي أَوْصَافِهِ
قَدْ بِتُّ صَبًّا مُسْتَهَامَ

fī hawā khayri al-ʿibād
Shughifa al-qalbu wa hāma
Fa hanīʾan li fuʾādī
Nāla min ṭāhā al-marāma
Anā fī madḥi Muḥammad
Mughramun wallāhu yashhad
Anā fī awṣāfihi
Qad bittu ṣabban mustahāma

In the love of the best of servants,
The heart is infatuated and wanders in longing.
So glad tidings to my heart,
It has attained its desire from Taha (the Prophet).
In the praise of Muhammad,
I am consumed, and Allah is my witness.
In his noble attributes,
I have become a yearning, love-stricken soul.
