Tala al Badru Alayna

طَلَعَ البَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا
مِنْ ثَنِيَّاتِ الوَدَاع
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَلَيْنَا
مَا دَعَا لِلَّهِ دَاع
أَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوثُ فِينَا
جِئْتَ بِالْأَمْرِ الْمُطَاع
جِئْتَ شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِينَة
مَرحَبًا يَا خَيْرَ دَاع
مَرْحَبًا يَا مُصْطَفَانَا
نُورُكَ الغَالِي أَضَاء
رَغْمَ أَنْفِ الْمُلْحِدِينَ
فَيْضُهُ عَمَّ البِقَاع
أَشْرَقَتْ شَمْسُ الكَمَالِ
بِكَ يَا بَاهِي الْجَمَال
جَلَّ مَنْ سَوَّاكَ حَقًّا
دَائِمًا لِلْخَيْرِ سَاع
صَفْوَةُ البَارِي مُحَمَّد
دُرَّةٌ لِلْكَائِنَات
مَدْحُهُ بَلْسَمُ رُوحِي
وَلَهُ يَحْلُو السَّمَاع
يَا خِتَامَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ
يَا إِمَامَ الأَوْلِـيَـاء
رَحْمَةً أُرْسِلْتَ طَهَ
مُنْقِذًا بَعْدَ الضَّيَاع
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ تُهْدَى
لَكَ مِنَّا وَالسَّلَام
يَا أَبَا القَاسِمِ يَا مَن
أَمْرُهُ دَوْماً مُطَاع

Ṭalaʿa al-badru ʿalaynā

Min thaniyyāti al-wadāʿ

Wa-wajaba ash-shukru ʿalaynā

Mā daʿā li-llāhi dāʿ

Ayyuhā al-mabʿūthu fīnā

Jiʾta bi-l-ʾamri al-muṭāʿ

Jiʾta sharrafta al-Madīna

Marḥaban yā khayra dāʿ

Marḥaban yā Muṣṭafānā

Nūruka al-ghālī aḍāʾ

Raghma ʾanfi al-mulḥidīna

Fayḍuhu ʿamma al-biqāʿ

Ashraqat shamsu al-kamāli

Bika yā bāhī al-jamāl

Jalla man sawwāka ḥaqqan

Dāʾiman li-l-khayri sāʿ

Ṣafwatu al-Bārī Muḥammad

Durratun li-l-kāʾināt

Madḥuhu balsamu rūḥī

Wa-lahu yaḥlū as-samāʿ

Yā khitāma al-ʾAnbiyāʾi

Yā Imāma al-ʾAwliyāʾ

Raḥmatan ʾursilta Ṭāhā

Munqidhan baʿda aḍ-ḍayāʿ

Ṣalawātu Allāhi tuhdā

Laka minnā wa-s-salām

Yā Abā al-Qāsimi yā man

ʾAmruhu dawman muṭāʿ

The full moon has risen upon us,
From the valleys of Wadaʿ.
We must show gratitude,
For as long as a caller calls to Allah.
O you who has been sent among us,
You have come with a command that must be obeyed.
You have come and honored the city of Madinah,
Welcome, O best of callers.
Welcome, O our chosen one (Muṣṭafā),
Your precious light has shone brightly.
Despite the atheists' will,
His abundance has encompassed all lands.
The sun of perfection has risen,
With you, O beautiful one.
Glorified be the one who truly perfected you,
Always striving for good.
The best of the Creator is Muḥammad,
A pearl for all of creation.
His praise is the balm of my soul,
And listening to it is sweet.
O seal of the prophets,
O leader of the righteous,
You were sent as a mercy, O Ṭāhā,
A savior after the loss.
The blessings of Allah are gifted,
From us to you, as is peace.
O Abū l-Qāsim, O one
Whose command is always obeyed.
