Qad Tammam Allah Maqasidana

قَدْ تَمَّمَ اللهُ مَقَاصِدَنَا
وَزَال عَنَّا جَمِيعُ الهَمّ
بِبَرَكَةِ النُّورِ شَافِعْنَا
جُودُهْ وَفَضْلُهْ عَلَيْنَا عَمّ
طَابَتْ بِذِكْرِهْ مَشَارِبْنَا
وَ كَمْ مِنَنْ لُهْ عَلَيْنَا كَمْ
وَكَمْ تَفَضَّلْ وَكَمْ أَغْنَى
وَ كَمْ تَكَرَّمْ وَ كَمْ أَنْعَمْ
ذَا وَعْدُ جَانَا بِلَاسَهْنَا
سُبْحَانَ مَولَايَ مَنْ أَلْهَمْ
مَبْنَى الهَوَى عِنْدَنَا مَبْنَى
بِالشَّانِ دَاخِلُهْ أنْ يَسْلَمْ
وَ لُهْ حَقِيقَةْ وَ لُهْ مَعْنَى
قَلِيلٌ تَلْحَقْهُ مَنْ تَرْجَمْ
لَيْلَةْ صَفَا قَدْ صَفَتْ مَعْنَا
وَنُورُهَا بَيْنَنَا يُقْسَمْ
وَضَرْبَةُ الطَّبْلِ تُطْرِبْنَا
وَرَاجِيَ اللهِ مَا يُحْرَمْ
حَاشَا إِلَهِي يُخَيِّبْنَا
وَلُهْ مَوَاهِبْ عَلَيْنَا جَمّ
حُسْنُ الرَّجَا فِيهِ قَائِدْنَا
لِلخَيْرِ فِي ذِهْ كَذَا فِي ثَمّ
عَسَى بِفَضْلُه يُعَامِلْنَا
مِنَ العَطَبْ وَالغَضَبْ نَسْلَمْ
فِي جَنَّةِ الخُلْدِ يُدْخِلْنَا
مَعَ النَّبِي المُصْطَفَى الأَكْرَمْ
وَعَاقِبَتْنَا تَقَعْ حُسْنَى
فِي حِينْ مَا عُمْرُنَا يُخْتَمْ
صَلُّوا عَلَى مَنْ بِهِ سُدْنَا
عَلَى فَصِيحٍ كَذَا أَعْجَمْ
مَا حَرَّكَ الطَّبْلَ مَن غَنَّى
وَنَاحَ بِالصَّوْتْ وَتَرَنَّمْ

Qad tammama Allahu maqāṣidanā
Wa zāla ‘annā jamī‘u al-hamm
Bibarakati al-nūr shāfi‘nā
Jūduhu wa faḍluhu ‘alaynā ‘amm
Ṭābat bidhikrihi mashāribnā
Wa kam minan lahu ‘alaynā kam
Wa kam tafadḍal wa kam aghnā
Wa kam takarram wa kam an‘am
Dhā wa‘du jānā bilāsahnā
Subḥāna mawlāya man alham
Mabnā al-hawā ‘indanā mabnā
Bish-shāni dākhiluhu an yaslam
Wa lahu ḥaqīqat wa lahu ma‘nā
Qalīlun talḥaqhu man tarjam
Laylata ṣafā qad ṣafat ma‘nā
Wa nūruhā baynanā yuqsam
Wa ḍarbatu al-ṭabl tuṭribnā
Wa rājiya Allāhi mā yuḥram
Ḥāshā ilāhī yukhaibnā
Wa lahu mawāhib ‘alaynā jamm
Ḥusnu al-rajā fīhi qā’idnā
Lilkhayri fī dhih kadhā fī thamm
‘Asā bifaḍlihi yu‘āmilnā
Mina al-‘aṭab wa al-ghaḍab naslam
Fī jannati al-khuld yudkhilnā
Ma‘a al-nabī al-muṣṭafā al-akram
Wa ‘āqibatnā taqa‘ ḥusnā
Fī ḥīna mā ‘umrunā yukhtam
Ṣallū ‘alā man bihi sudnā
‘Alā faṣīḥin kadhā a‘jam
Mā ḥarraka al-ṭabla man ghannā
Wa nāḥa bil-ṣawt wa tarannam

Allah has fulfilled our intentions
And removed every anxiety from us.
By the blessing of the light of our Intercessor
Whose generosity and bounty have encompassed us.
Our way has become sweet through mentioning
Him, and how many favours of his are upon us!
How much has he honoured and enriched us!
How much has he ennobled and blessed us!
This is a promise which has been given to us without any effort.
Glorified is my Lord Who granted inspiration.
The building of love with us is structured with
Its interior on submission.
It has a reality and an inner meaning,
Few are they who interpret it
The night of clarity has purified with us,
And its light is being divided amongst us.
The beating of the drum moves us,
And the one with hope in Allah is not denied.
God forbid that He should ever disappoint us,
He has abundant gifts for us.
Excellent hope in Him is our way
Towards good; now and in the future.
Perhaps He will treat us with his bounty
And we will be safe from destruction and wrath.
In the eternal garden He will enter us
With the noblest of Prophets, Al Mustafa.
Our outcome will be good
At the time when our lives come to an end.
Send blessings upon the one by whom we ascended,
Over all races, Arabs and non – Arabs.
May the blessings continue as long as the drum beats for the one who sings
And calls out with the melodious voice.
