Shahru ar-rabīʿi wāfānā

شَهْرُ الرَّبِيعِ وَافَانَا
أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا وَهَنَّانَا
بِهِ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ الله
لِلدِّينِ حَقًّا هَدَانَا
شَهْرٌ بِهِ جَاءَ الرَّسُول
الْهَاشِمِيُّ بَابُ الْوُصُول
بِقُدُومِهِ نِلْنَا الْقَبُول
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ قَدْ أَعْطَانَا
شَهْرٌ بِهِ نِلْنَا الْهُدَى
وَبِهِ انْجَلَى عَنَّا الرَّدَى
بِجَمَالِهِ لَمَّا بَدَا
مِنْ كُلِّ خَطْبٍ نَجَّانَا
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ يَا سَلَام
عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مَاحِي الظَّلَام
وَالْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ الْكِرَام
مَا فِيهِ شَادٍ غَنَّانَا

Shahru ar-rabīʿi wāfānā
Aqbala ʿalaynā wa hannānā
Bihī atānā Rasūlu-llāh
Li-d-dīni ḥaqqan hadānā
Shahrun bihī jāʾa ar-Rasūl
Al-Hāshimiyyu bābu al-wuṣūl
Bi-qudūmihī nilnā al-qabūl
Subḥāna man qad aʿṭānā
Shahrun bihī nilnā al-hudā
Wa bihī-njalā ʿannā ar-radā
Bi-jamālihī lammā badā
Min kulli khaṭbin najjānā
Yā Rabbi ṣalli yā Salām
ʿAlā an-Nabiyyi māḥī aẓ-ẓalām
Wa-l-āli wa-ṣ-ṣaḥbi al-kirām
Mā fīhi shādin ghannānā

The month of Rabīʿ is upon us,
it has drawn near and gladdened us.
In it, the Messenger of Allah came to us,
to the true religion, he guided us.
A month in which the Messenger arrived,
the Hāshimite, the gate of arrival.
With his arrival, we attained acceptance,
Glorified is He who has bestowed upon us.
A month in which we attained guidance,
and in it, ruin was repelled from us.
By his beauty, when it appeared,
from every trouble, he rescued us.
O my Lord, O Source of Peace, send blessings
upon the Prophet, the effacer of darkness.
And upon his family and noble companions,
as long as a singer sings his praises.
