Ma Rahati

مَا رَاحَتِي إِلَّا لِقَاءَ الْأَحْبَابِ
هُمْ سَادَتِي، عَيْشِي بِهِمْ قَدْ طَابَ
عَيْشِي يَطِيبُ وَيَنْجَلِي كَرْبِي
وَلِي نَصِيبٌ، خَلْوَةٌ مَعَ الْحِبِّ
طَلَعَ النَّهَارُ وَأَشْرَقَتْ شَمْسِي
وَالْكَأْسُ دَارَ مَا بَيْنَ جُلَّاسِي
زَالَ الْغِيَارُ بِلُطْفِ إِينَاسِي
زَارَنِي الْمَحْبُوبُ وَأَشْعَلَ مِصْبَاحِي
طَابَ الشَّرَابُ وَطَابَتْ أَقْدَاحِي

Mā rāḥatī illā liqāʾa al-aḥbāb
Hum sādatī, ʿayshī bihim qad ṭāb
ʿAyshī yaṭību wa yanjalī karbī
Wa lī naṣībun, khalwatun maʿa al-ḥibb
Ṭalaʿa an-nahāru wa ashraqat shamsī
Wa al-kaʾsu dāra mā bayna jullāsī
Zāla al-ghiyāru bi-luṭfi ī-nāsī
Zāranī al-maḥbūbu wa ashʿala miṣbāḥī
Ṭāba ash-sharābu wa ṭābat aqdāḥī

There is no comfort for me except meeting the beloved ones,
They are my masters, life with them is sweetened,
My life becomes pleasant, and my sorrow is lifted,
And I have a portion, a retreat with the Beloved,
The day has risen, and my sun has shone forth,
The cup went around among my companions,
All estrangement vanished, by the gentleness of intimacy,
The Beloved visited me and lit my lamp,
The drink was delightful, and so were my cups.
