English translation
How can I sleep at night, how can I sleep at all?
My beloved Muhammad, his words are jewels.
Sail, for God’s sake, O sailor, guide the ship,
For the lights of Abu’l-Qasim have shone upon us.
O companion of the desert Arabs, drink their milk,
All of the Companions are stars, and Taha is their moon.
O flying bird above, O white one, O you with wings,
Give greetings to Taha and tell him: my life has passed.
I do not wish to die today; my cloak will be my shroud,
Send word to Taha, that he may be present at my passing.
